FAQ’s For Selling Your Home

If the equity in your current home will be applied to the down payment on your new home, you will have to sell the former (or you should at least have an accepted offer free of all conditions). 

The real estate business is relatively predictable. Sales generally peak in June, slow a bit during summer,

and then pick up again in the fall. The slowest time is around Christmas. February is a great time to list because there are fewer homes available and buyers are always looking to buy around this time.


Real estate commissions are negotiable. The expectation is that the seller pays the commission for both the buyer’s and seller’s agent. We highly recommend that the commission is comparable to the average market commission in the area.
